TheHill issues callout for VR and AR solutions in health and care

Showcasing innovation is an important part of TheHill’s work connecting innovators with frontline healthcare workers who could benefit from technology.

Do you have VR and AR solutions that you would like to demonstrate to OUH clinicians?

TheHill is doing a call out for VR and AR solutions in health and care!

TheHill is an innovation catalyst, embedded within Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

We empower innovation in health and care by supporting new approaches which seek to make the NHS more efficient and effective, empower staff and benefit patients.

TheHill’s Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) showcase gives colleagues from Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) and beyond the opportunity to engage in-person with companies that are championing the role of digital innovation in improving patient experience.

The showcase presents a unique opportunity for frontline staff to experience and explore virtual reality technologies and to talk to the companies that produce them.

VR and AR have the capacity to transform healthcare, presenting radically innovative ways of working with patients and staff.

From pain and anxiety relief to rehabilitation, education and training, medical VR/AR is a rapidly expanding field of research producing solutions that are easy to deploy and intuitive to use.

This is an open event where a cross-section of OUH staff and guests from other NHS Trusts and health and social care bodies will get an opportunity to engage with a carefully curated group of companies that we feel are at the forefront of virtual and augmented reality within healthcare, and who represent a broad range of available solutions.

With ever increasing choice of VR/AR offered on the market, it will provide practitioners with an informed understanding of what is available and what might support them best in their work.

Our team hopes that these meetings will lead to new relationships, new ideas and new possibilities for healthcare in the future.
