North Lanarkshire Council boosts social care services with Access Group partnership

North Lanarkshire Council is partnering with health and care software provider The Access Group’s Health, Support and Care (HSC) division to support social care services across the region.

The Council will implement Access HSC’s social care case management platform Access Mosaic CM – an online digital system which covers adult, children’s, justice and finance cases in one platform, integrating seamlessly with health and social care data.

The system is expected to be fully implemented by January next year.

This will increase efficiency and give social care professionals the time and data needed to achieve more positive outcomes for the most vulnerable people in the community.

A spokesperson for North Lanarkshire Council said:

“We’re confident the system provided by Access HSC will support North Lanarkshire Council with its digital-led programme.

“It will play a key role in ensuring we meet our priorities to engage with children, young people, parents, carers, and families.

“In turn, this will help them reach their full potential, and ensure our residents are able to achieve, maintain and recover their independence through appropriate support at home and in their communities.”

Access Mosaic CM is trusted by local authorities across Scotland, with functionality to cater specifically for the Scottish social care and justice services.

The platform is already being used by councils in Dumfries and Galloway, Dundee City,

Scottish Borders, Perth and Kinross, East Lothian, West Lothian and Midlothian.

Access Head of Scotland Health, Support and Care (HSC), Carrie Renton, said:

“We’re delighted to be supporting North Lanarkshire with their social care case management solution.

“The Council joins our existing Scottish customer base where they will have access to the knowledge and best practice that our customers share.

“As a partner of Access HSC, North Lanarkshire will have access to an ecosystem of care and support software, designed to support an individual throughout their care journey while providing workers with the digital tools they need to provide quality care.

“We’re excited to be supporting the people of North Lanarkshire and look forward to collaborating with the local authority to evolve their social care offering with one seamless service.”

Meanwhile, East Lothian Council has renewed its long-term contract with Access HSC includes its Access Mosaic CM instance moving to be fully hosted on The Access Group platform.

The new project will include Access Mosaic Portal and Access Mosaic Provider Portal to enable information to flow from third parties, service users and multidisciplinary professionals, as well as providing more financial control for the council.

The project will also feature the latest CM software release, which has richer functionality and helps provide more holistic care packages.

A spokesperson for East Lothian Council said:

“East Lothian selected Access Mosaic CM as a fully integrated, cloud hosted case management system that will support aims for service redesign, improve information sharing with partners and enable digital access for service users and suppliers.

“We look forward to working with Access on implementing the new solution to deliver better ways of working for our vital social care services in challenging times.”
