Europe’s dedicated event for neuro rehabilitation experts returns

In just four weeks’ time Neuro Convention takes place at the NEC in Birmingham.

Neuro Convention showcases the latest innovations in the field of neurological rehabilitation including exoskeletons, virtual reality, neuro-stimulation, gait analysis, orthotics, robot-assisted therapy, whilst also maintaining a central focus on patient care and training best practices through a CPD seminar programme.

Attended by specialists including, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, clinicians, psychologists and case managers, the event provides a platform to discuss compassionate therapies, integrating rehab into healthcare, therapist self-care, and the human elements of rehabilitation highlight the priority of supporting both patient and provider.

Explore the exhibition where companies will be running live demonstrations showcasing innovative products, including Circle Rehabilitation, Voyage Care, Made for Movement, Active Care Group & Otto Bock Healthcare.

A CPD accredited seminar programme will run alongside the exhibition, hosting some of the brightest minds in the fields of neuro rehabilitation.

This year hear from, Christine Singleton, Birmingham Community Heathcare NHS Foundation Trust; Dr Simon Thompson, The London Clinic; Jonathan Marsden, University of Plymouth.

Content themes include, The critical role of Family and Caregivers involvement in Improving Patient Outcomes in Neuro-Rehabilitation, Collaborative excellence – the future of tech-enabled community care, FES Guideline development and implementation & A specialist nurse perspective on working in partnership to manage spasticity.

Dr Penny Trayner’s session – Last Night a DJ Saved My Life: Exploring the neuro-cognitive benefits of DJing and electronic music as a vehicle for the delivery of neuro-rehabilitation, will highlight the key benefits associated with using electronic music as a vehicle for the delivery of neurorehabilitation.

Why not join an interactive panel session – Technology rollout in Neuro-rehabilitation- are you on board? Panellists include Helen Lloyd from Rehabilitation for Independence, Mohamed Sakel, from East Kent Hospitals University NHS Trust & Dr Penny Trayner, from  Clinical Neuropsychology Services.

This panel will explore the current state and future trajectory of technology in neuro care, examining key developments like telemedicine, AI-assisted diagnosis, remote monitoring devices, and more.

As part of the programme, the University of Plymouth will be hosting neurological rehabilitation workshops at the Keynote Stage.

University of Plymouth are known worldwide for their work, and much of their research influences neurologists across the UK in physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

Their workshops were the busiest theatre in 2023, so this one is not to be missed!
