Gregg Draudt joins Fearsome to spearhead US market expansion

Innovation consultancy Fearsome has announced the appointment of industry veteran, Gregg Draudt, to lead its expansion efforts in the United States.

Draudt has previously served as a product designer, global design director and client interface leader for firms such as IDEO, Cambridge Consultants, Radius/Jabil, and Essential/PA consultants.

Draudt has over 50 patents to his name across various sectors including medical devices, industrial equipment, and consumer products.

He said: “When I first had the opportunity to work with the Fearsome team a few years back, I was deeply impressed by their responsiveness, commitment to innovation, and unique approach.

“The opportunity to help more people hear about Fearsome, especially here in the U.S., really appeals to me.

“I feel like I can help get the word out so that more people can experience the benefits of the Fearsome approach.”

In his new role, Draudt will focus on leveraging his extensive network and expertise to help Fearsome tap into new markets, forge strategic partnerships and drive growth in the U.S. market.

He aims to contribute by making introductions, developing product briefs and ensuring that both clients and team members find success
through user-centred creativity and technical efficiency.

Draudt said: “The challenge is straightforward – how can I help MedTech start-ups and strategics in the U.S. (and elsewhere) realise that Fearsome is the right choice for both user-centred creativity and remarkable technical efficiency,” said Gregg.

“My goal is to help Fearsome connect with the market and find great new projects.”

Asked about his approach to creating innovative and successful medical device products, Draudt emphasised the importance of clearly defining success, researching user needs, and iterating through prototyping and stakeholder feedback.

Draudt believes that true innovation stems from asking the right questions and understanding the problem deeply before proposing solutions.

Beyond his professional endeavours, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing and watching soccer, taking long bike rides and indulging his passion for building furniture, particularly vintage Eames chairs.

“I am excited to bring Fearsome’s unique capabilities and approach to my network in the U.S.,” added Draudt.

“I am looking forward to working on many projects together.”
