Virtual care platform eVisit acquires Bluestream Health

Arizona-based virtual care platform eVisit has acquired New York-based Bluestream Health, a virtual care management platform for healthcare providers and health systems.

eVisit offers a telemedicine platform alongside scheduling, waiting room management, intake and discharge.

Bluestream is a virtual care platform that helps brick-and-mortar facilities shift workflows to a virtual care format with multiple patient front doors, triage and escalation, and clinical-delivery offerings.

The acquisition will allow eVisit to add digital front doors, integrated language services and other digital tools to its portfolio.

“eVisit and Bluestream share a common ethos of empowering complex healthcare delivery organizations in their journey to transform care with a digital-first approach. We believe that such organizations require a dedicated operating platform to combine historically-disparate capabilities. Bluestream accelerates the execution of eVisit’s strategic value to the organizations we serve,” Sachin Agrawal, CEO of eVisit, said in a statement.

THE LARGER TREND

In 2021, eVisit closed a $45 million Series B funding round.

Other companies in the virtual care management space are VirtualHealth, with its HELIOS care management software, and physician-enablement company Privia Health
